It's been quite a while since I've done much on this site. I haven't been keeping up with photography. I lot of it has to do with time, when I'm shooting pictures I spend a lot of time on it, which I quite frankly don't have right now that I'm working full time. Actually I lost the time during college when I chose to spend my free time with friends having fun rather then solitariness fulfilling my creative needs. It also turns out that with photography, I need to be surrounded by other photographers to truly enjoy it. I find that if I'm not challenged to improve my images I just get bored with it and try other things. I kinda felt that way when I was at the U, and it's even harder when I'm surrounded by people who don't really do anything with photography. For the past few years I have been working at a camera store (or getting bounced around several locations and finding all new ways to hate what you do) but that really doesn't help much. Not many people who work at camera stores are really that skilled with photography.

More to the point of why I'm back (at least for today) is that sometimes I write now. Mostly for fun but it has been useful for all the role playing games I'm in. I really don't care if people read any of it, but I'm a little curious if it's any good. I mean it's not like I was ever really into literature or poetry. I do like certain books, but I'm by no means like some of my friends who are really into it. The big issue is that I just really can't tell if anything I write is any good. I can normally of some sense of quality when I work in a visual or tactile format (and trust me I still have plenty of crap floating around my apartment), but I have a lot more trouble with writing. So I figure I'll put up some of the stuff I've written, maybe get motivated to write more, and see where that takes me. Ideally if I get comfortable enough and refine my style, I'd like to find some people to work on a collaborative piece. Maybe a web comic or write a TV show or movie. Success would be cool but more than that it's just something I want to give a try some day. So yeah, that's it in a nutshell.
